Whoever said that ‘punk is dead’, should get a mean kick in the butt from the Dropkick Murphys.  As forerunners of their own brand of ‘celtic punk’,  the Dropkick Murphys stick to their Irish music heritage and twisted it with their early exposure to the music of  AC/DC and The Ramones.  May 29, 2013 may be a working weekday, but who cares? !  Punk never sleeps.  Drop everything and troop to the Fillmore Auditiorium for some badass punk feast courtesy of the Dropkick Murphys.

The devil-may-care spirit of punk music is kept alive and kicking by punk celtic band, Dropkick Murphys.  After a couple of member changes since getting together in 1996, the group’s current line-up includes: Ken Casey – bass guitar, lead vocals (1996–present), Matt Kelly – drums, bodhran, vocals (1997–present), Al Barr – lead vocals (1998–present), James Lynch – guitar, vocals (2000–present), Tim Brennan – guitar (2008–present), mandolin, accordion, keyboard, vocals (2003–present), Josh “Scruffy” Wallace – bagpipes, tin whistle (2003–present), and Jeff DaRosa – banjo, bouzouki, guitar, mandolin, accordion, keyboard, piano, harmonica, whistle, vocals (2008–present).   Through constant touring and regular gigs during St. Patrick’s Day events, fans grew by the number and were very supportive of their debut single and the first hit ever  ”Tessie”, which became the band’s first and one of their biggest charting singles to date.   Their major label debut, under Warner Music’s vanity label, Born & Bred The Meanest of Times debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard charts which churned out the hit single “The State of Massachusetts”. In  2011,  Going Out in Style was released and debuted at No. 6,  making it their highest-charting album to date.   In 2013, their success forged on as they released their eighth studio album, Signed and Sealed in Blood which secured the number 9 spot at the Billboard charts.

Celebrate the imortality of punk music with the Dropkick Murphys!  The moshpit is almost full, but there’s always room for more!  Get your tickets now!
