Grant Kwiecinski, more popularly known as GRiZ, is a multi-talented artist famous for producing live dance shows. He first gained popularity after releasing his breakout album Good Will Prevail, which debuted at the top of the iTunes Electronic chart and peaked second on the Billboard charts.
He impressed the world even more with his critically-acclaimed sixth studio album Ride Waves, which featured special collaborations with the biggest names including Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Matisyahu, and the Grammy Nominated singer DRAM. With this, the record garnered a cumulative 52.7M streams across major platforms.
When the Detroit singer produced his next album Rainbow Brain - a switch to dubstep music - the artist shared how he loved the feeling of this creative trajectory more than anything else. “I’ve accepted this non-sequitur into my life, and I’m just going back to the things that I love. I just love bass music, and it's always been a staple of what the GRiZ project is all about.”
Furthermore, this artist is more than just his music as he holds an annual “12 Days of GRiZMAS” charity program, a cause that has been selling out tickets since its launch. Overall, the project has raised more than $500,000 dedicated to increasing access to music education for Detroit’s youth through their charity partner and beneficiary Seven Mile.
The last time GRiZ brought the funk to the Fillmore Theatre, River Beats stressed in a review how people should immediately take the opportunity to see them live! “Even if you aren’t quite a fan of the music, you will love his energy and use of live instrumentation and vocalists, automatically making his show unlike anything you’ve experienced before,” the article shares.
