Us here at The Fillmore are all about boundary pushing, devilishly good Dj sets and acts all summer long. And this season, we’re  thrilled to host The Dare for an unforgettable night as part of Denver’s 2025 PlayHaus Pride Parade Celebration on Saturday, June 28th. Known for turning warehouse floors into euphoric dance parties and pulling crowds into sweaty, glitter-drenched chaos, The Dare is bringing a DJ set that promises pulsing beats, neon nostalgia, and more than a little hedonism. And he’s not coming alone either y’all - though this set here on our decks isn’t part of any traditional tour The Dare is having this summer - that kind of makes it even MORE of a must-see. It’s part of PlayHaus—Denver’s unapologetically queer, ultra-colorful club experience, with a stacked lineup that also includes Shea Couleé and Kaleena Zanders. Think: wild outfits, untamed dancing, and the kind of shared joy you can only find when community and music collide. Oh right, and of course - you and all the besties dancing in the middle of it all to The Dare. 

If you’ve been anywhere near the indie-electronic underground lately—or if your algorithm has been even slightly in tune to what’s popping — you’ve probably heard The Dare’s breakout anthem Girls rip through your feed and in every West Coast cool kid’s DJ set. The track is a gloriously bratty ode to nightlife, and it’s what kicked off Harrison Patrick Smith’s rise from Brooklyn scenester to international party-starter. Drawing comparisons to the early 2000s electro-clash era, The Dare’s sound doesn’t just nod to the past—it rips it open and remixes it for right now. And - what better place to catch him and his breakout song than right here in Denver during Pride week? Harrison might’ve started as a downtown poet, but these days he’s curating dance floors from Berlin to Bushwick. His recent DJ sets blur the lines between punk, club, sleaze, and pure pop bliss. And for this Pride edition? Expect sweat, synths, and maybe even some surprise bangers you forgot you loved.
