ABOUT THUNDERCAT

Stephen Lee Bruner a.k.a. Thundercat has done incredible work with pop and metal. First, he debuted as member of a boygroup, then later moved on to performing with metal band Suicidal Tendencies. In 2011, Thundercat left the group to embark on this solo career. He released debut album, The Golden Age of Apocalypse in the same year with independent music label Brainfeeder. In 2013, his sophomore album, Apocalypse, made a slight breakthrough into the US Billboard 200. The record spawned hits, “Heartbreaks+Setbacks” and “Oh Sheit, it’s X.” in 2015, Thundercat gained prominence with the single, “Them Changes,” which later earned platinum status in the U.S. The single is featured in his 2015 debut EP The Beyond/Where the Giant Roams and his third album and career defining record Drunk. In 2016. Thundercat collaborated with Kendrick Lamar, releasing the megahit “These Walls,” a single that would later win the Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance. In 2020, Thundercat dropped his latest album, It Is What It Is, a record that won the Grammy for Best Progressive R&B a year later.
