The Fillmore in Denver will be transformed into a mosh pit this Friday, October 9th, as Swedish powerful melodic death metal legends Arch Enemy join forces with Michigan's most aggressive death metal outfit The Black Dahlia Murder for their highly anticipated "Wrath Across North America 2016" tour. This monstrous tour stops first at The Fillmore with opening sets by Symphonic behemoths Septicflesh, Brazilian Thrash metal force Crypta, and Throw Into Exile.
Arch Enemy are a Swedish musical death metal group formed in 1995 by former Carcass guitarist Michael Amott in 1995 along with ex-Arch Enemy vocalist Jeffrey Walker. The band has a great reputation for their intense and talented live performances with their songs like 'Nemesis', 'War Eternal' and 'The Eagle Flies Alone' to name a few that are sure to be played. After the release of their latest album 'Deceivers' from 2022, the group have evolved but are still showing off their death metal skills. Their current lead female vocalist Alissa White-Gluz took over from Angela Gossow who was extremely hard to tour with. Arch Enemy are among the top albums to be released in Europe by a metal band and the group are also one of the hardest touring metal bands around.
The Black Dahlia Murder is an American death metal band from Michigan. As a group, they are well known for incorporating a wide variety of different elements into their music, including, but not limited to, symphonic elements, and in the majority of their songs, a horror-themed story-telling element. Some of their most popular songs include "What a Horrible evening to Have a Curse", "I Will Return", and "Verminous". The band's latest album "Servitude" was released in 2024, and once again, the band continues to evolve in their death metal soundscapes. The band takes their name from an infamous unsolved murder from the 1940s in Los Angeles, California, the Black Dahlia.
Greece's pioneers of the symphonic metal scene, blending power of a full symphony with the brutality of a death metal band, Septicflesh, return to North America for a run of tour dates. Supporting their latest release, Modern Primitive, due out in 2022, the band will delve into the world of mythology in their music. Typically Septicflesh work with film composers of film to create their large, orchestral arrangements that are simply breathtaking to see live. Catch them at the Fillmore on Oct 9th as they bring "Anubis", "Prometheus", and "The Vampire from Nazareth" to life in person.
Crypta, The Brazilian female death metal band that features former members of Sepultura and Nervosa, formed in 2019 by Andrea Bonini (bass), Lui Falsini (guitar), Luana Ribeiro (vocals), Marina Thielen (guitar), and Geovane Xavier (drums). They have brought the noise with powerful performances of songs like "Possessed" and "The Other Side of Fear" off their 2021 release "Echoes of the Soul", a strong addition to the death metal scene from this up and coming force.
